False Albacore (Euthynnus alleteratus)
	This distinctively marked relative of the tuna is a fairly common catch in Atlantic waters, though it is not as prized as the Striped Bass and Yellowfin Tuna, which are better for eating. The False Albacore feeds throughout the day and therefore grows fairly rapidly, reaching up to 3 feet and over 20 pounds. Adults prey on squid, shrimp and other fish, such as mackerels, anchovies and menhaden. Easily recognized by the vivid wavy lines on their dorsal side, this migratory species often travels in schools and can be found in brackish or coastal water.
