EXPERIENCE
Illustration & Graphics
2004 – present Graphics and Web Designer/  Database Developer: BioCurrents Research Center MBL. Responsible for production of images of cellular metabolic pathways, linkage of these images to a database of pharmacological compounds (www.pharmabase.org), development of the database and design and creation of new BRC website.
1998-2000 Reprographics Technician, Marine Biological Laboratory, Woods Hole, MA.
Tasks included scanning, file formatting, pre-press and computer graphics.
1996- present Freelance Scientific Illustrator- Long term contract for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History:  Subjects are South American Characin and Catfish species, including whole fish and osteological drawings, for publication and exhibits.
1996-present Freelance Scientific Illustrator: Production of illustrations for books, journals, exhibits and the Internet using digital and traditional illustration techniques. Subjects range from micro-organisms to processes and ecosystems. Clients include:  Baruch Marine Laboratory, Harvard University Press, Marine Biological Laboratory, Monteray Bay Aquarium Research Institute, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Nikos Laboratory, The Oceanaire, On the Water Magazine, Perseus Books, Sierra Club, Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
1999-present Production of prints and greeting cards from original watercolors of local organisms and threatened species from around the world.
